British Airways will offer inflight mobile connectivity on its business class service from London City Airport to New York, which is set to be launched tomorrow (September 29th). The facility, which is the first service of its kind on a transatlantic route, will be provided by OnAir.
Users of internet-enabled smartphones and mobiles will be able to access the internet and send text messages and emails while travelling between London City Airport and New York.
According to OnAir, the launch of the service on the new British Airways route is representative of the increasing take-up of inflight mobile connectivity among airlines.
