The cows get the publicity and rightly so -- they are what makes the "dairy" in World Dairy Expo. But it's really the cows who stayed at home in the barns and pastures of the world that have made this annual event such a success for 43 years.
Confusing? Probably.
About 2,600 dairy animals will camp at World Dairy Expo for a week. They are the top show animals in the U.S. and Canada. They are in Madison because they closely fit the description of what each of the seven major dairy breed associations (Holstein, Jersey, Brown Swiss, Ayrshire, Milking Shorthorn, Guernsey and Red & White) say their dairy animals should look like. ...
