LEOMINSTER - Questions concerning the advertising of a police sergeant's position and the timing of the appointment of the position were answered to the City Council's satisfaction last night, and Police Officer Ryan D. Malatos was unanimously confirmed as the city's newest front-line supervisor.
Councilor James Lanciani Jr. said he spent the day talking to the city's human resource director and found that Officer Malatos was the only candidate on the current certified Civil Service list.
The list will expire tonight at midnight.
