Chalco hikes domestic spot alumina price by $15 per ton on Sept. 30
Shanghai. September 30. INTERFAX-CHINA - The Aluminum Corporation of China Co. Ltd. (Chalco), China's largest alumina and aluminum producer, raised its domestic spot alumina price for the second time this month to RMB 2,650 ($388.05) per ton on Sept. 30.
The new price is RMB 100 ($14.64) per ton, or 3.92 percent, higher than the previous RMB 2,550 ($373.41) per ton price set on Sept. 1.
Non-Chalco alumina producers have been quoting alumina at between RMB 2,600 ($380.73) per ton and RMB 2,650 ($388.05) per ton recently, but industry insiders told Interfax that actual transactions ...
