The Butthole Surfers had a weird blip on mainstream alt-rock radio in 1996 with the song "Pepper," off their seventh album "Electriclarryland," but the band's history goes back to the late '70s and through 30-odd years of depraved stage shows and albums with goofy titles like "Hairway to Steven."
