TOKYO, Oct 2 Asia Pulse - Japan's ABC-Mart Inc. (TSE:2670) likely logged a group pretax profit of roughly 12.5 billion yen for the six months ended Aug. 31, up 13 per cent, lifted by strong sales of women's shoes and trekking footwear.
Group sales appear to have risen 10 per cent to 54 billion yen (US$601.8 million), despite same-store sales ebbing 2 per cent. Revenue was buoyed by the opening of 41 new stores.
