Galil Medical, an Israeli startup that markets device-based treatments for various cancers and other disorders, said it will move its corporate headquarters to the Twin Cities area by the end of the year.

Galil will consolidate offices now in Israel and suburban Philadelphia into leased space in Arden Hills, bringing about 15 people to the new headquarters. Ultimately, about 30 people may be employed "over time" by the company locally, said James Thomas, general partner of Thomas, McNerney & Partners, a member of Galil's board.
