After expressing increased optimism about their economic prospects for six months, owners of companies in the metalforming industries turned more dour this month as they became skeptical that the economy is fully on the road to recovery.
"I was a little disappointed to get this month's business conditions report, said Bill Gaskin, president of the Precision Metalformers Association in Independence, which each month polls its roughly 1,100 members in North America to assess their take on the economy and their industry.
"I was hoping it would hold up for at least one more month, he said of his member's optimism.
