Ann Arbor IT center, Hummer HQ get tax credits
A $15.7 million support center by California information-technology service company Systems in Motion will bring some 1,085 new jobs to the Ann Arbor area, aided by a $7.4 million tax credit approved Tuesday by the Michigan Economic Growth Authority.
Also approved was a $20.6 million, 10-year tax credit to secure a new $9.4 million Southeast Michigan headquarters for Hummer, expected to create 300 jobs. A location decision is expected by Oct. 31. The tax credit is contingent on finalization of the sale and site selection.
