HGM, Kazzinc commission Novoshirokinsky lead-zinc mine
CHITA. Oct 1 (Interfax) - Highland Gold Mining plc (HGM) and Kazakhstan's Kazzinc commissioned their joint venture OJSC Novoshirokinsky Rudnik, which will operate the Novoshirokinsky lead-zinc mine in Russia's Trans-Baikal (formerly Chita) region, on October 1.
The territory's industry ministry told Interfax that the company hoped to produce 25,700 tonnes of lead concentrate with Pb content of 15,100 tonnes and 7,600 tonnes zinc concentrate containing 5,400 tonnes Zn per year.
However it would probably not be possible to sell all of this in Russia for the time ...
