FREMONT, Calif., July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- HiNT Corp. announces the HC11, a $15.00, 800Mbits/s PCI Mastering Quad HDLC Controller for applications with Routers and Bridges for LAN-WAN Internetworking and Signalling System 7 (SS7) Gateway. Frame Relay, T1/E1, T3/E3, DSL or similar applications can make use of the low cost, yet powerful HC11 to connect to the PCI bus. The HC11 Specifications is available for customers to begin design-in and samples will be available in September 1998.

The chip provides four full-duplex, very high speed HDLC formatters which support HDLC framing, transparent transfer and SS7 acceleration mode. Eight programmable DMA channels ...
