The Mount Wachusett Community College Foundation will honor Fitchburg businessman J. Paul Gauvin as the 2009 Harold E. Drake Jr. Citizen of the Year at its annual Foundation Dinner on Nov. 4 at the Colonial Hotel, Gardner.
"I'm very humbled and proud to be considered for this prestigious award," Mr. Gauvin said. "Community service has been a big part of my life. I really was inspired by my father, who was involved in a lot of charitable giving. It's inspiring to help other people. By getting involved, I've had the opportunity to try to make a positive change in our community."
