SAN FRANCISCO - The U.S. interventional radiology market encompasses a large number of applications and is composed of numerous relatively small dollar volume segments that collectively represent a sizeable and growing area of business opportunity. In addition to performing a variety of procedures on the peripheral vessels in the legs, head, and neck, interventional radiologists also have developed techniques to treat disease in the abdomen and airway, and in the digestive, urologic, and reproductive tracts.
