Yokosuka, Japan (NNS) -- U.S. Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Yokosuka became the first among seven FISCs around the world to welcome and celebrate the Naval Supply Systems Command initiative to merge the storekeeper (SK) and postal clerk (PC) ratings, which officially established the new logistics specialist (LS) enlisted rating Oct. 1.
Because of its location west of the international dateline, the new LS rating dawned first for those serving in the Western Pacific.
