A NATIONWIDE breast cancer awareness campaign has also been mapped out to coincide with Think Pink Bahrain's fundraising drive.
The year-long "icheck" campaign highlights the importance our hands play in detecting breast cancer, through monthly self-examinations.
"The idea of the icheck campaign is to break the cultural barriers and stigma that breast cancer has in Arab cultures and, through education and awareness, encourage women who have learned how to self-check to proudly raise their hands in unity and say: "I check," explained Think Pink Bahrain founder and chairwoman Jules Sprakel.
