The normally traffic ridden East Colvin Street became a mass of runners early Sunday morning. Thousands gathered to participate and watch the 17th annual Syracuse Festival of Races.
Patty Murray-Albo defended her title in the women's masters 5K race with a time 17 minutes, 23 seconds, three seconds slower than last year's championship time. The Boulder, Colo., native sat down on the pavement after running across the finish line and held her hands up in victory. This is the second time that Murray-Albo has received the championship trophy at the Festival.
