SAN ANTONIO, July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical Science Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MSSI) announced today it has entered into a research agreement with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill ("UNC"), to conduct additional clinical utility trials of the Company's genetic susceptibility test for coronary heart disease (CAD).
Previous clinical trials have indicated that the Company's CAD genetic test is a strong independent predictor of susceptibility to atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries. The genetic factor identified by the Company influences the inflammatory component of the disease mechanism and amplifies the disease once it starts. The test may ...
