As part of the Footprints Forward project investigating "opportunities for and barriers to Indigenous student entry to medical education", researchers designed a survey instrument to evaluate the type of advice and support that secondary school career counsellors would give to Indigenous students interested in a career in medicine or the health sciences. A total of 144 career counsellors from public and private secondary schools in Victoria, Australia, responded to the survey.
