The Los Angeles mergers and acquisitions market staged a comeback in August, registering its second best month in the past half year. Two marquee deals helped push the total value of local M&A activity over $4.5 billion. With the economy showing signs of improvement, deal flow picked up as well: 43 transactions were announced during the month, a 65 percent increase from July. Entertainment behemoth Walt Disney.
