Greg Erwin, who played a vital role in bringing the 2008 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials to Hayward Field, has been named the recipient of the University of Oregon's Leo Harris Award.
The award, which is named in memory of the university's first director of athletics, is given annually to a former Oregon athlete who has excelled in achievement and community service since leaving the university at least 20 years ago. Erwin is the 44th recipient.
