GERMAN Luxury car makers Audi and Mercedez Benz and Japan's Toyota Motors, which introduced the Fortuner recently, are all bullish on the Indian market following the increase in sales during September.
Audi announced its best- ever sales of 205 cars for the month of September 2009, which represents a growth of 153 per cent, from 81 cars in September 2008.
Benoit Tiers, managing director, Audi India, said the company has recorded strong growth throughout the year despite the difficult market conditions. The year- to- date growth stood at 72 per cent ( January- September 2009: 1,333 cars compared to January- September 2008: 777 cars).
