In our family, if something is going to go wrong during dinner out, it's going to happen to my husband. Last week, somebody stole his mushroom.
That somebody was a server at The Van Dyck on Saturday, who mistook Paul's portobello appetizer for her order, causing us to have to wait nearly 45 minutes to receive our first course. Our waiter apologized a time or two for the delay but seemed helpless to do anything other than refill water glasses and offer to bring us another drink. But once the food began to arrive, it was hot and for the most part well-prepared.
