Terry Fields received an official-looking document recently from the offices of the Kentucky Environmental Quality Commission (EQC). The letter to Fields, president of Red River Hardwoods Inc. of Clay City, KY, announced that the company was one of 10 being honored by the state. The award, part of Kentucky's annual Earth Day celebration, commended the firm for its "beneficial reuse of scrap hardwood in the making of moulding and trim."
