Article: Kabila's catalogue of blunders.

Present Laurent Kabila is driving his neighbours to distraction and losing friends by the dozen. It is no secret that when the Uganda/Rwanda coalition chose him to lead the assault on the ailing President Mobutu, he had been politically dead for decades. He was the best of a bad choice for the Museveni/Kegame alliance and they had probably counted on him to remain passive while they sorted matters out.

Once in power however, Mr Kabila seems to have decided to head off in his own direction. Unfortunately for him and his country, this direction appears to be running in circles.
