(ADPnews) - Sep 28, 2009 - Norwegian aquaculture group Marine Farms ASA (OSL:MFA) said today its unit Lakeland expects a negative impact of GBP 2 million (USD 3.2m/EUR 2.2m) in the second half of 2009 due to losses at its salmon farms on the west coast of Shetland.
The losses are due to high mortality and reduced growth caused by salmon lice.
The company now expects harvest volumes of 2,500 tonnes in the third and 3,000 tonnes in the fourth quarter.
