Article: Norwegian Hurtigruten Q2 '09 earnings rise despite crisis.(Financial report)

(ADPnews) - Aug 20, 2009 - Norwegian transport company Hurtigruten ASA (OSL:HRG) saw its pretax profit rise to NOK 111 million (USD 18.3m/EUR 12.9m) in the second quarter of 2009 from NOK 26 million a year earlier, despite a drop in customer numbers, the financial crisis and the swine flu.

In its interim report, released today, Hurtigruten said its second-quarter sales rose to NOK 958 million from NOK 910 million.

The group's operating profit also rose to NOK 165 million from NOK 92 million.
