(ADPnews) - Aug 28, 2009 - Brazil's national oil, gas and biofuels regulatory agency ANP sold yesterday about 460 million litres (121.5 million US gallons) of biodiesel at its 15th auction.

The average price of the biodiesel stood at BRL 2.27 (USD 1.2/EUR 0.8) per litre.

The quantities sold at the auction should cover the demand regarding the introduction of the 4% mandatory blending of biodiesel to diesel oil that entered into force on July 1, 2009.
