(ADPnews) - Sep 7, 2009 - Following the sale of Austrian Airlines AG (WBAG:AUA), the keeping of a relatively expensive structure like that of state holding OeIAG is not justified, Andreas Schieder, State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, told Austrian APA news agency today.

OeIAG caters for the state-owned stakes in crucial for the country companies, such as Oesterreichische Post AG (WBAG:POST) and oil and gas group OMV (WBAG:OMV). Recently the holding sold its shareholding in AUA to German Lufthansa (FRA:LHA).
