(ADPnews) - Sep 1, 2009 - Chilean power utility Empresa Electrica Guacolda has invested USD 320 million (EUR 223.3m) to build the third unit of its Guacolda thermoelectric plant in Chile's central northern region of Atacama, the company said yesterday.
Guacolda spent nearly USD 50 million of the total sum to equip the new unit with special technology, which reduces the sulphur dioxide emissions.
