Brazilian mining and logistic giant Vale SA (SAO:VALE5; NYSE:VALE) and US Bunge Ltd (NYSE:BG) have formed a partnership for the exports of ethanol via Itaqui port, in northeastern Maranhao state, according to Vale's fuels manager, Ney Fontes Filho. Vale will transport ethanol produced in northern Tocantins state via Vale's Norte-Sul railway stretch, currently under construction, to Itaqui port as of the second quarter of 2010.
