(ADPNews) - Sep 18, 2009 - The opposition in the German government demanded that the supervision of Germany's banking sector be reformed, in order to prevent other crisis situations such as that of Hypo Real Estate (FRA:HRE).
Watchdog BaFin could only observe the mortgage lender's troubles and not avert them, the Free Democratic Party, the Lefts and the Greens said in their closing report in the investigation of the HRE case.
