(ADPnews) - The following is a review of the biodiesel and ethanol news published by Brazilian media for the period September 7 to 11, 2009.

Brazilian utility Companhia de Geracao Termica de Energia Eletrica (CGTEE), a subsidiary of Brazil's federal electricity holding company Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras (SAO:ELET6), or Eletrobras, tested the use of biodiesel for energy generation at its Nutepa thermoelectric power plant (TPP), in Porto Alegre, southern Rio Grande do Sul state.
