By: YASIR HABIB KHAN LAHORE, October 2 (THE NATION): Due to delay in the provision of funds and acquisition of land, long-standing plan to establish two new landfill sites costing Rs 800 million in the City has been lying in limbo. Two new landfill sites: one at Kachah and the other at Sundar: were identified and planned by the City District Government Lahore (CDGL) two years back. However, the plan could not make any progress. Sources revealed that CDGL had written a number of letters to the Punjab government requesting to release earmarked amount and ordered the Board of Revenue to acquire the land for the landfill-sites without any delay.
