Sources inform ''Globes'' that, two weeks before the deadline to submit bids in the Soreq desalination plant tender, the tenders committee has decided that TASC Strategic Consulting may not participate in reviewing the bids, after a bidder claimed that the firm had a possible conflict of interests. TASC is the financial advisor in the tender.
The bidder who asked for TASC's removal from the tender process is IDE Technologies Ltd., which is jointly bidding in the tender with Hong Kong-based Hutchison Water Ltd., a unit of Hutchison Whampoa Ltd.
