AN UPCOMING Apec meeting in Singapore will explore how economies in the region can position themselves for post-crisis growth, deal with the downturn and acces global markets.
These are the key areas for discussion at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) forum's SME-related meetings, to be held at the Shangri-La Hotel from Saturday.
Ministers and senior officials responsible for SMEs in the 21-member Apec grouping will be in town for the week-long talks which end on Oct 9.
These meetings are part of the year-long Apec Singapore 2009 series of forums which culminates in the Apec Leaders' Week from Nov 8 to 15.
