Medical Education Technologies Inc., the manufacturer of medical simulation products and educational software, has landed a $1.8 million contract with the Army for 41 of its medical simulators.

The Army's Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation awarded the contract to update 13 of its 17 medical simulation training centers.

Sarasota County-based METI will equip the simulation centers with the company's blood-on-board emergency care simulators, which come with an of airway, pulmonary and cardiovascular systems as well as trauma features and METI's Combat Medical Advanced Simulation Training Learning Module.
