Japanese and Australian stock futures fell after private reports showed an unexpected drop in business activity in Chicago and U.S. companies cut more jobs than estimated last month.
Futures on Japan s Nikkei 225 Stock Average expiring in December closed at 10,015 in Chicago yesterday, 0.9 percent lower than 10,110 in Osaka. Australia s S&P/ASX 200 Index futures contract due in December fell 0.2 percent today. New Zealand s NZX 50 Index rose 0.1 percent in Wellington.
