The city's second-largest building contractor has won a $12.1-million federal contract to refit a former downtown museum for parliamentary purposes.
The former Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, adjacent to the Chateau Laurier, has been temporarily closed since 2006 after water drained into the building. It is now being converted into offices and committee rooms for parliamentarians and their staff who will be displaced by the upcoming West Block renovations.
