Puerta del Sur has inaugurated the new terminal at Uruguayan capital Montevideo's Carrasco international airport, local press reported.

The firm invested US$165mn in the project which includes a shopping area of 3,000m2.

The new terminal will have the capacity to handle up to 3mn passengers per year, which is the projected demand for 2025.
