Puerta del Sur has inaugurated the new terminal at Uruguayan capital Montevideo's Carrasco international airport, local press reported.
The firm invested US$165mn in the project which includes a shopping area of 3,000m2.
The new terminal will have the capacity to handle up to 3mn passengers per year, which is the projected demand for 2025.
The airport now covers an area of 45,000m2 with eight boarding gates, four of which have passenger bridges. At the same time, the runway was extended to 3.2km, allowing the airport to ...
