Reliance Power (R-Power), Anil Ambani's 8,000-megawatt, gas-fired power project in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, has received bids from at least
half-a-dozen global and Indian companies for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract, even as the project, which is the biggest gas-based plant so far, awaits a Supreme Court (SC) decision on gas supplies.
Global majors such as GE, Siemens, Alstom, Mitsubishi, and domestic majors such as Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (Bhel) have submitted their bids for the contract, which is estimated at $3 billion (about Rs 15,000 crore at current exchange rates), said people connected with ...
