The Railways has decided to appoint a consultant to assist them in preparing bid documents for setting up an assembly unit for electric locos body shells at Chittaranjan Loco Works. The ambit of project would also include setting up a diesel component factory at Dankuni.
The ministry of railways has come out with an advertisement inviting request for proposals to engage a consultant or a consortium of firms led by a consultancy firm. The latter will help the railways in its initiative to facilitate the setting up of the project.
