The Central New York Oil & Gas Co. is planning to spend over $200 million to construct a 40-mile natural gas transmission line that would travel through southeastern Bradford County and eastern Sullivan County, an official from the Central Bradford Progress Authority said.
The line, which is called the MARC 1 Hub Line, would transport natural gas produced in southeastern Bradford County and eastern Sullivan County to market, said Brian Driscoll, the economic development manager of the Central Bradford Progress Authority.
"It's the first (transmission) line dedicated to bringing gas from the Marcellus Shale to market," Driscoll said.
