Brookfield Renewable Power Fund has begun construction on the 50 megawatt Gosfield Wind project in Kingsville, Ont., the fund said Friday (Oct. 2).
The project is expected to produce an average of approximately 150 gigawatts of power annually, which will be sold at a fixed price to the Ontario Power Authority under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
Brookfield said Gosfield Wind will generate enough electricity to power 16,000 average homes. Mortenson Canada Corp. will lead the project construction. The project will employ up to 150 workers during peak construction and has a target ...
