Following the path of nutraceutical ingredients used in functional foods, natural products are finding a place in cosmetics and skin care.

Driven by rising consumer interest and demand for natural products, the use of botanicals and natural extracts in cosmetics and skin care applications is increasing. Much as nutraceuticals were accepted in the food market, products that contain plant or natural products are finding a receptive audience in cosmetics and personal care products.
