Busch Gardens is being sold by Anheuser-Busch InBev to the private equity firm Blackstone Group along with the company's other theme parks, including Water Country USA.
Blackstone announced the deal just before noon Wednesday, saying it had agreed to pay up to $2.7 billion to the global brewing giant for Busch Entertainment Corp. and its 10 amusement parks across the country. The deal includes $2.3 billion in cash plus investment rights worth up to $400 million, Blackstone said.
