CORONA, Calif.--Jul. 17--Fender Musical Instruments Corp., the superstar electric guitar maker that only seven years ago threatened to flee Southern California's stringent air emission restrictions, this weekend instead will start moving into a $20 million state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Corona.
Officials of the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company say the 177,000-square-foot, custom-built Corona manufacturing and administrative facility demonstrates Fender's desire to remain closely tied to the Southern California music industry, which is one of its major markets.
