LUBBOCK, Texas -- United Supermarkets is among an unprecedented coalition of 40 retailers, non-governmental organizations and food-and-beverage manufacturers who formed the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation (HWCF), a nationwide, multi-year effort to help reduce obesity - especially childhood obesity - by 2015.
