Pitt claims 26 awards including Best in Show
PITTSBURGH, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- IABC welcomed a record crowd to The University Club in Oakland to celebrate excellence in communications on Wednesday evening. More than 135 entries were received for the 2009 competition - the most the organization has received in the past five years.
The Best in Show Award went to The University of Pittsburgh for Free at Last?, an event detailing slavery in Pittsburgh in the 18th and 19th centuries, after the entry won an Award of Excellence in the Special Events category.
