NEW YORK -- The feud between the new owners of the Halston brand and its former designer has gotten uglier.
As he threatened, Randolph Duke filed a $10.5 million lawsuit Tuesday against his former employer, Catterton-Simon Partners, charging breach of an employment agreement less than two days after he left as Halston's creative and design director.
According to the suit filed in state court here, Duke said he is owed his base salary plus at least $70,000 in royalties from the sales of the Lifestyle and Signature apparel lines.
