ATOP city chef has been giving the Baltic a taste of Birmingham - and helping to inspire a new generation of overseas cooks. Luke Tipping, executive chef at Simpsons restaurant in Edgbaston, has been spreading his love of food in Latvia, staging a masterclass for young chefs and giving them an insight into Michelin-star cuisine.
Luke was invited to Riga to judge the city's chef of the year competition through the Delice Network. Delice is an international network of leading food cities, including Birmingham, Barcelona, Lyon and the Latvian capital.
The body aims to promote gastronomic traditions and the culinary arts.
